Trail Quest Jeepfest 2007 was a Summer Sizzler!!! |
It may have been smoking hot outside, but if you missed Jeepfest 2007, you missed out on tons of freebies such as Reider Racing t-shirts, endless decals & stickers, and Precision Gear key chains and hats. The turn-out was great with about 20 Jeeps & 40 or so guests who enjoyed some yummy hot dogs and refreshments. We gave away door prizes which included 4x4 signs, books, Teraflex hats & tire deflators, and Trail Quest t-shirts to just about everyone in attendance. |

Jeepfest featured our favorite game called "Guess How Many?" where jeepers had to guess how many bushings were in a bowl. The correct answer was 73 bushings, and the closest without going over was Jim Frisch Sr. who won with a guess of 64. Jim Sr. won his choice of Jeep hat from our entire inventory.

Another Jeepfest favorite is the Creeper Contest in which the contestants must creeper through a series of poles the slowest speed possible without pressing on their brakes. This years winner was Jim Frish Jr. with his army green 1963 CJ-5 with the time of 16.0 seconds. Jim Jr. won a gift certificate for a Mickey Thompson jacket for his super slow creeping skills. The fastest and worst time in this contest was my own hubby Shawn Underwood, creeping Trail Quest's 1999 TJ nicknamed "Dracula" through the poles at stealth speed and was clocked at 6.0 seconds! Slow down Mario Andretti!

Articulator Winner: Don Cronan
|
The Trail Quest Articulator always attracts a crowd with it's heart stopping, white knuckle, extreme tilting on ONE TIRE! The gift certificate for a set of Teraflex sway bar disconnects went to Don Cronan and his TJ with a ramp score of 833.3.

Best of Fest: Dustin Mulbarger's Renegade |
|
This year's "Best In Fest" contest winner was Dustin Mulbarger and his 1978 CJ Renegade. No one can understand how, or why, anyone voted for this Jeep to win the best looking in the entire show, but hopefully Dustin will use his $50.00 Trail Quest gift certificate to buy some new fender flares.
Hey, it's got character, right?!?!?

As Jeepfest came to a close we announced the Jeepfest $1.00 raffle winner who walked away with a 60" black Hi-Lift Jack! We handed out the certificates and awards and wrapped up another fun and exciting Jeepfest! We would like to thank Tera Manufacturing for donating the Teraflex sway bar disconnect certificate, hats, decals, and tire deflators as well as Mickey Thompson for donating the jacket gift certificate. And thanks to those who came down to hang out with us at Jeepfest 2007. Join us next year, probably around the beginning of June so it is not so HOT! :c)
